Ricardo Suárez Fischnaler 1968-2021 - Partner

Co-founding Partner Ricardo Suárez Fischnaler has 25 years of law practice experience in both the public and the private sectors.

In the public sector, he has worked in the attraction of foreign investment, in the improvement of the business climate, in the creation of tax incentives and in the procurement of public infrastructure, including concession projects. He also served as Alternate Judge of the Supreme Court of Justice of El Salvador from 2009 to 2018.

In the private sector, he has worked in the commercial banking system as well as in the private practice of Corporate Law, Commercial Law, and Litigation.

In 2010 Ricardo co-founded VALDES SUAREZ & VELASCO (VSV), where he practices in the areas of Corporate/M&A, Real Estate and Construction, Litigation, Public Procurement and Public-Private Partnerships for Infrastructure.

Ricardo earned a Law Degree from Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado (El Salvador), and a Master of Laws Degree (LLM) and a Doctor of Juridical Science Degree (SJD), both with honors, in the joint degree program of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain) and Dr. José Matías Delgado (El Salvador)

In the academic field, Ricardo currently serves as Professor in the Master of Laws and Doctorate of Juridical Science joint degree program of Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (Spain) and Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado (El Salvador); and as Professor in the Administrative Law Masters Degree program at Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado (El Salvador).
